Bikes for Kids

Hey kids, need a bike but can’t afford to ride?

Are you a youth in need of a bike, but don’t have the financial means to purchase one? Do you live in Lunenburg County? If so, we may have the solution you’re looking for.

The United Way of Lunenburg County Bikes for Kids program has nearly 60 refurbished bikes that are looking for homes with kids just like you! These gently used bikes come in an assortment of sizes, from training wheels right up to bikes for teens, and even a small number of adult-sized bikes so mom or dad can ride along with you!

Bike selection and registration begins on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Bikes will be distributed at the Bridgewater Mall (Entrance B) on Thursday, June 07, 2018, 4 – 8 pm.

Thank you to our volunteer bike repairers the O’Regan’s Subaru Cycling Team, NSCC Diesel Repair Students and the students at Chester area Middle School (Teachers Shawn Kirk and Peter Hindle) Spin Your Wheels Bike Shop.
