Following our first regional funding application process since unifying in 2024, United Way Maritimes is investing more than $8 million in operational and program funding into 136 unique organizations in 2026 and 2027, across all seven Maritime offices. This ensures that funding is reaching local organizations and directly responding to the unique needs of the communities they serve.
In Lunenburg County that looks like investing $468,000 into these 15 organizations:
- Flourish 55+ Healthy Activity Society
- HB Studios Sports Centre
- Kidney Foundation of Canada – Atlantic Branch
- Lunenburg County Senior Safety Program
- Lunenburg County Wheels
- Municipality of Chester Transportation Society (Community Wheels)
- New Ross family Resource Centre
- South Shore Regional Centre for Education – Schools Plus
- Second Story Women’s Centre
